1998   Pakistan carries out successful tests of the surface-to-surface missile Hatf-V. The missiles have a range of 1,500km making them capable of striking India.

2005   Over 32 people are killed and 9 injured after three multi-story buildings collapse in a densely populated area of Lahore, Pakistan

2005   Three trains collide in Ghotki, Pakistan, killing an estimated 500 people.

2005   Severe aftershocks of the South Asian Earthquake of 2005 strike Northern Pakistan.
