Supreme Court of Canada Timeline

1995   In the case of Egan v. Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada rules that that sexual orientation constitutes a prohibited basis of discrimination under Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

1998   The Supreme Court of Canada rules that Quebec can not legally secede from Canada without the approval of the federal government.
